ROAD TRIP!

At 1 pm this afternoon, plans went into effect for a road trip across the western United States. So far, we've got Vegas, San Jose, Portland, Seattle, Boise, Salt Lake, Denver, and Albuquerque on the list. It should be amazing. I really wanted to go on a Southern US trip, but it doesn't look like it might work out. Albuquerque, El Paso, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Oklahoma City, Biloxi, New Orleans, Lexington, etc. That would have been super great, but like I said, it might not happen. I'm looking forward to this. More on it later.

I don't believe in luck. However, I tend to find myself in many predicaments. Take for instance last week- after coughing for weeks, multiple doctors' visits, and determining no reason for said cough, a resolution was made on the final trip: I had bronchitis and walking pneumonia. Lame. You'd think that a conclusion would have been made before making six trips to the clinic. I've decided, as most have already deduced, that being sick is simply not fun--- even if you do get a week off from work. On the up side, I did catch up on some reading. Friends have been recommending books since the beginning of the year, but I've been far too busy to get to it. On the list are (in order of awesomeness):
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick
Non-Stop by Brian Aldiss
On the Road by Jack Kerouac
Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins
Stuff White People Like by Christian Lander (How I lived without this gem is beyond my comprehension).
Anyway read them, I think you'll find you like them too. Blah. I have to be at work in six hours. I should get rested.

Oh Mr. Santoro...

And I did it. I aced the finals. Woot. What should have been a 4.0 GPA, wasn't. Instead, the plus/minus system skewed what could have been perfect. Next time, I am studying harder.

ASU is raising tuition again... by a lot... again. I need this institution to have a payment system equivalent to that of NAU. It would be so much better for me financially. Taking out another loan is going to put me in further debt. How lame.
